TORQREX CHRONOS

A stiff hammerhead carving board with a long effective edge for stability at speed.

New for 2026-27: a hammerhead carving board in the Groundest Limited line, replacing the line's earlier hammerhead (written グフタス in the catalogue). It comes in a white-based graphic, which is unusual for a hammerhead.

The flex is hard for high speed while the torsion is a little softer, so the front foot can twist the board to start a turn. The effective edge is 1,340 mm for stability, and a narrow waist with 6 mm of taper helps the board release and switch edges cleanly. It is a directional camber of about 10 mm with a soft convex base, a graphite sole and 12 insert holes per foot for a wide stance range. It suits riders new to hammerheads and those who want to take carving further. One size: 157 cm.
