The completely asymmetrical SVO is an extremely well-designed shape that makes snowboarding sideways ultimately easy to control. Not only the outline shape, but also the position of the left and right side curves, and even the shapes of the camber and rocker are completely asymmetrical. FIELD EARTH's asymmetrical shape adopts an outline shape that is the exact opposite of the asymmetrical shapes seen in conventional alpine boards. Since the angle of the feet on a snowboard is directed forward relative to the direction of travel, the length of the edges from the nose to the tail differs between the left and right sides. Also, backside turns on a snowboard, which are turns towards the rider's back, are more difficult than frontside turns due to human body structure, and one of the reasons for this is that the backside edge is longer than the frontside. Furthermore, the SVO adjusts the angle of the set stance with the board shape, making it easier to control both sides with the same feel. However, if you only consider turns on groomed snow, a shape that simply shifts the edges left and right (a shape where the backside extends further back) is effective. However, with this shape, the resistance on the backside becomes too large in powder, slowing down turns. Therefore, while the backside is shorter in powder, it is designed in the exact opposite way for groomed snow, with the edge contact on the backside being longer, allowing riders to experience two different feelings with one board. As a result, sharp turns are possible on groomed snow, while very light turns are possible in powder. The SVO has a very unique design, but it is a model designed to be ultimately easy to ride, making it easier to control side-stance vehicles like snowboards.
